Taste of Mediterranean by New Covent Garden Soup

  • Event

We've been contacted by New Covent Garden Soup:

"I'm working on the New Covent Garden Soup site and we're running a 'Taste of the Mediterranean' Soup of the Month competition. We're looking for the Italian stronghold in the UK to see if there are any people who have some classic Italian recipes for delicious soups and if they'd be interested in sharing them with us."

"We know that the recipes are out there, and we know (secretly, don't tell anyone) that the Italian community has an edge over all the other countries in the Mediterranean basin - that's why we're predominantly asking Italian people to get involved!"

CSIF raises £1,300 for COSMIC - Children of St Mary's Intensive Care

In 2011, the Club Sociale Italiano di Finchley chosen COSMIC as as its chosen charity for the year. We held several events to raise funds, and throughout the year raised £1,300.

Our regular events are held to bring together the Anglo-Italian community in North London, with the funds raised being donated to charity. We strive to bring our members an enjoyable and varied social calendar.

Below is the letter received from COSMIC thanking us for the fundraising we have carried out throughout 2011, and telling us how the donation will be spent. In 2012, the CSIF will be raising funds for OGI.

We would like to thank our members for the support they have given the CSIF, which has enabled us to donate our target to COSMIC.
