Michael Jackson – Eat your heart out by Andrea Toscani

Our Halloween parties have always been hugely popular over the years, however, this year we wanted to add a new twist to the event. After much discussion by the committee members we wanted to create a party that would encapsulate all ages. Welcome to the inaugural ‘Thriller Night’ at Woodside Park.

This was chance to see some old faces from the OGI and rekindle friendships, for the children to enjoy themselves and the grownups to have a drink at the bar.

With activities for the children to enjoy like face painting, and making horror masks the children were in their element, there was even time to try the famous Michael Jackson moonwalk, and who can forget the hilarious fun seeing our loved one tuning us into ghoulish mummies. Our fun was only interrupted when it was time to eat our Fish and Chips dinner which was expertly prepared by Gaspare and his assistants.

With dinner over it was back to the fun and games by this time the DJ had cranked up the music and with more fun and games on the dance floor everyone was having a great time. As the evening drew to a close, and with tired eyes it was time for us to go home exhausted but with children asking if they could come back ‘tomorrow’.

We would like to thank the members of the committee who worked tirelessly to make this party happen!

Finally, may I take the opportunity to say a big thank you to you for making this event a success, we saw many new faces at Thriller Night, and we look forward to welcoming you to our future events.
